王公宰官护法

时肃亲王。善耆。请公为其太福。晋说戒法。复有庚子岁。公随鸾驾。护帝后西行时。各王公大臣旧相知多来探视。策划上奏诸事宜。得各护法帮助甚力。诸事顺利进行。奏上。旋奉上谕。停。

宣化偈曰：

琉璃大王灭释种。频婆裟罗请目连。
肃亲王子为护法。遂心满愿奉谕还。　

Receiving protection for the Dharma from princes, dukes, officials and the emperor

At that time, Prince Su Shan Ch'i requested that the Master explain appropriate precepts to his wife. Moreover, the princes, dukes, and ministers whom the Master had met while accompanying the Emperor and Empress and the Imperial Caravan during its westward flight in 190017 lent their influence in the formal presentation of the petition. Because of the profound power of the aid given by the Dharma Protectors, all went smoothly, and as a result, a prohibitory edict was proclaimed.

The gatha says:
The great and powerful Crystal King demolished the Shakyan clan.
And the King called Bimbisara had entreated Maudgalyayana.
At this time, there was Prince Su Shan Ch'i, who was also a protector of the Dharma.
In accord with their wishes, an Imperial edict was proclaimed.
