九华翠峰茅蓬

壬辰五十三岁。约普照。月霞。印莲诸法师。结为同参。同上九华山。修翠峰茅蓬同住。由普照师主讲《大方广佛华严经》。弘五教仪。贤首一宗。歇坠已久。各处闻讲多赴会。江下贤教复振。　

宣化偈曰：
群而不党上九华。翠峰茅蓬共策划。
从此振兴贤首教。华严大法遍河沙。

Living in a hut on Chiu Hua Mountain's Ts'ui Feng Summit

During the Masters fifty-third year, he joined with the Venerable Masters P'u Chao (Universal Illumination), Yueh Hsia (Moon Aura) and Yin Lien (Lotus Seal) to cultivate together. They climbed Chiu Hua Shan Mountain and repaired the huts on Ts'ui Feng Summit, where Dharma Master P'u Chao expounded the Mahavaipulyabuddha Avatamsaka (Flower Adornment) Sutra. He explained the five teaching modes according to the Hsien Shou, or Avatamsaka School, which had been neglected so long that people from all over showed a great interest in coming to lectures. Thus, the Hsien Shou teaching was revived in the area south of the river.

The verse says:
A group of casual associates went up to Nine Flower Mountain;
Together they planned to renovate the huts on Jade Summit.
From this the Hsien Shou teaching was once again revived:
The Avatamsaka Dharma pervades worlds as many as Ganges of sands.
