我不为自己，我是来救美国人的，现在的美国是佛教当旺的时候。中国在春秋战国时代也很乱，当时有孔子周游列国，中国才渐渐好起来，人民才能过太平盛世的日子。

 

现在美国很乱，因为，种族问题太多了，国人若不信佛教，不靠佛教来改造世界，整个社会将烂掉，今日的纽约只是征兆，假如整个国家乱起来，不得了的。

 

美国政府不会治国，许多人都被财迷住了，财、色、名、食、睡一样也放不开，假如总统不自私，不要钱，只要为人民谋幸福，所有的人民都会欢迎。这样的总统一定会当选；若能当四年总统不拿钱，能改变全世界的风气，对世界影响多大，何乐不为呢？

 

I don't do things for myself; I came here to rescue Americans. Now is the time when Buddhism should be flourishing in America. During the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States periods, China was in a state of chaos. During that time, Confucius traveled around the states. China then gradually became better and its people lived in peace and prosperity.

 

The United States is currently very chaotic because there are too many racial problems. If Americans don't believe in Buddhism and don't rely on Buddhism to change and reshape the world, the whole society will crumble. What is happening in New York today is an ill omen. If the entire country becomes chaotic, that will be catastrophic.

 

The American government does not know how to run its country. Many people are confused by wealth, sex, fame, food and sleep. They are unable to renounce any of these. If the President is not selfish, does not want money, and works only for the people's well-being, then the people will all welcome him. Such a person will certainly be elected. If the President will not accept money during his four-year term, he can transform the world. How great his influence would be : Ought he not take delight in doing this?
