西藏活佛皈敬

丁丑九十八岁。春戒毕。公应广州居士林请。赴穗讲经。时有西藏活佛。荣增堪布金刚上师。与罗格更桑等。十余人慕道德而来皈依。佛山诸僧众护法等。请赴佛山。为仁寿寺宝塔开光。回南华寺。仍修造各院宇工程。经营料理。

宣化偈曰：

广开法筵度含识。大阐教义化氓蚩。
西藏活佛来皈敬。东震比丘第一枝。
　

A Tibetan Lama respectfully requesting to take refuge

After the spring Precept Period of 1937, the Master, now ninety-eight, responded to an invitation by the Laypeople's Association of Canton to go there and explain a sutra. At that time, a Tibetan lama, Vajra Master Jung Tseng K'en Pu, arrived, accompanied by Lo Ke Keng Sang and ten others. Admiring the Master's virtue in the Way, they came to receive refuge. Later, members of the Sangha and protectors of the Dharma invited the Master to go to Fuo (Buddha) Mountain and conduct the Opening of the Light Ceremony at the Jeweled Pagoda at Jen Shou (Humane Age) Monastery. Returning to Nan Hua Monastery, the Master then continued to oversee the tasks of reconstruction there.

The gatha says:
Setting forth a vast Dharma feast, he crossed over many beings.
Clearly expounding the teaching's meaning, he transformed the ignorant masses.
A Lama from Tibet respectfully received the refuges.
The land of China produced an exceptionally first-rate bhikshu.
