长拜过苏州

从湖州复起香叩拜如前。沿途人见之咸生敬仰。人人合掌念佛。或随喜礼拜。抵苏州城。信仰三宝善男信女甚多。皈依者亦复不少。三三五五恭敬欢迎。络绎不断。一时传为奇闻焉。　

宣化偈曰：
善财南参越百城。烟水依稀判鸿濛。
公朝五台湖苏界。善男信女匍匐行。

Continuing to bow at length and passing through Su Chou

Leaving the city of Hu Chou, the Master again began by first offering incense and then continued to bow. When people along the roadside saw him, they were all respectful, placing their palms together and reciting the Buddha's name. Some happily followed along, bowing behind the Master. Reaching Su Chou, the Master encountered many cheerful men and faithful women who believed in the Triple Jewel. A considerable number of these people received the three refuges from him. All types of people respectfully welcomed him and at that time the wonderful news of his arrival continued to spread quickly.

The verse says:
The Youth Good Wealth visited the south, more than one hundred cities.
Through mist and waters, he pursued the great and mysterious.
As the Master journeyed to Wu T'ai Mountain through the regions of Hu and Su Chou,
Good men and faithful women went down on their hands and knees.
