安慈万里拜云公

丁亥一百有八岁。赴南华传戒。讲经后赴港。澳。中山。石岐等地作法会。戊子一百有九岁。万里以外之双城。安慈。号度轮者。来亲近公。语次。公知为法器。印证工夫。见地咐嘱心印妙理。命为戒学院教务职。藏器待时。

宣化偈曰：

云公见我言如是。我见云公证如是。
云公与我皆如是。普愿众生亦如是。
　

Receiving the monk An Tz'u28 who had traveled ten thousand li to pay his respects

In 1947, the Master was one-hundred-and-eight and returned to Nan Hua Monastery for the transmission of the precepts and to explain the sutras. Later, he went to Hong Kong, Macau, Chung Shan County, Shih Ch'i and many other places for Dharma assemblies. In 1948, the Master's one-hundred-and-ninth year, the monk An Tz'u (Peaceful Kindness), whose other name is To Lun (Wheel that Crosses Over), traveled more than ten thousand Ii from Shuang Ch'eng County to draw near to the Master. During their subsequent conversations, the Master recognized that the monk An Tz'u was a Dharma vessel, formally verifying his spiritual skill, charged him with the wonderful principle of the Mind-Seal. The Master told him to assume the directorship of the Vinaya Academy, storing away the vessel until the time was ripe.

The gatha says:
The Venerable Master Yun saw me, saying, "It is thus."
I saw the Venerable Master Yun, and verified, "Thus it is."
The Venerable Master Yun and myself together are both thus
And vow that beings everywhere realize they, too, are thus.
